Wholewheat bread

Our daily bread, knead with love. ❤️

If you have not baked your own bread, you need to start baking some! Our household love the aroma of fresh bakes out of the oven!

Wholewheat bread recipe:

1 1/4 cup wholewheat flour

1 1/4 cup Japan Bread flour

2 tsp instant yeast

2 Tbsp sugar

1 tsp salt

1 cup warm milk

2 Tbsp oil (any oil or butter)

1 egg

1/4 cup addition bread flour (kneading as if needed)

Method:

*grease a loaf pan 8x4x4

*place flour yeast sugar n salt to a bowl

*stir in milk n egg

*add oil(if use butter, add last after the dough form to ball)

*beat in machine on high – 3 mins

*turn to low speed n slowly add (more or less) about 1/4cup flour to form a ball shaped dough

* floured the worktop n knead till smooth- 20 mins

*place the dough to an oiled bowl n cover to proof till double in size

*check for windowpane n finger indent

*shape dough to loaf n place to greased 8x4x4 loaf pan

*cover with a wet towel n proof further to rise an inch taller than pan – <>30mins

*put dollops of butter on sides of pan (optional)

*bake at 190degrees Celsius for 30 mins

* tent the top with foil if too browned

*remove immediately after bake to cool on rack
